On Wednesday, May 15, 2019, the Yorktown Humanitarian Award for Community Service was presented to Charlie Angelakos at the 20th Annual Tribute Dinner held at the beautiful, historic “The Carlu.”
Tribute Dinner Co-chairs Salah Bachir and Jacob Yerex, and Kate and David Daniels were thrilled to recognize Charlie for his outstanding leadership in inspiring and supporting Labatt employees as they help those in need and carry forward the legacy of community support established by founder John Kinder Labatt in 1847.
The 2019 Tribute Dinner honouring Charlie Angelakos raised over $235,000! This achievement has helped raise awareness of Yorktown’s mission to provide effective, accessible, quality mental health treatment, prevention and out-reach services to children, youth, women and families in West Toronto.
Yorktown Family Services is grateful to our honouree, Charlie Angelakos, as well as to our Co-Chairs, all of our sponsors, donors and attendees who helped make this year’s event a roaring success.
On June 8th, 2018, the Yorktown Family Services Humanitarian Award for Community Service was presented to Kate and David Daniels in recognition of their many years of dedication to making a difference in the lives of others. Kate and David are both guided by what they refer to as “PSR” or “Personal Social Responsibility,” focussed on active participation in smaller non-profits that emphasize youth and the arts.
The 2018 Tribute Dinner honouring Kate and David was a resounding success, raising over $230,000. As honourees, the Daniels have helped elevate awareness of Yorktown’s charity, enabling them to continue to offer innovative, evidence-based programs to children, youth, women and families in one of Ontario’s most under-resourced communities.
Yorktown Family Services is grateful to our honourees, Kate and David Daniels, as well as our Co-Chairs, Salah Bachir and Jacob Yerex, and of course all of the sponsors, donors, and attendees who all contributed to the success of this important fundraising event.
