Yorktown Family Services supports and equips women, children, youth and families to create positive change in their lives.

Yorktown Family Services (YFS) is a fully accredited community service agency comprised of an infant, child, and youth mental health centre; a women’s shelter and community-based violence against women services; and an integrated services site offering rapid access to multiple mental health, primary health, and social service programs for youth and young adults. For over 30 years Yorktown has been providing immediate access to a wide range of services in Toronto’s most vulnerable communities to support and equip women, children, youth and families to create positive change in their lives.

Yorktown Family Services welcomes individuals of all abilities. We are committed to accessibility and will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requests related to service animals, special access to our services and materials, or with accommodations during the selection process. Support persons accompanying an individual to our services are also welcome.

A Space for Healing: Celebrating Yorktown’s Healing Garden

On March 6, 2026, Yorktown Family Services was honoured to welcome Mohamed Firin | MPP York South–Weston to our Violence Against Women Shelter to recognize the impact of a $44,100 grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) supporting our Healing Garden. We were joined by members of our Shelter and Violence Against Women (VAW) Services and Talent & Culture Teams to mark this important milestone. Growing With Grief

Individual, family and group counselling and support for children, youth and families experiencing grief related to the death or dying of a parent, sibling or in-home custodial caregiver.

Rainbow West

A youth-led 2SLGBTQ+ program that provides a safe environment for youth to engage in pro-social activities, lead community initiatives, capacity building, and peer support.
