Parenting in Early Years (English & Spanish)
Parenting in the Early Years (PITEY) is offered in both English and Spanish and is a 9-week parenting program for parents and caregivers of children birth to six years. The PITEY program is part of Program Without Walls (PWW) and is one of a range of programs offered that are linguistically and culturally modified to meet the diverse needs of families. PWW’s goal is to strengthen families and enhance the development and well-being of children living in difficult situations. The long-term goal of PITEY is to promote healthy child development. A children’s group runs in conjunction with the parenting program and provides a wide range of skill-building activities for the children attending the program. The program is offered in partnership with The Macaulay Centres for Children.

Awareness and communications initiatives for Parenting in the Early Years are partially funded through proceeds earned through Yorktown’s memberships with Dolphin Gaming and the Ontario Charitable Gaming Association.
