Parenting in Early Years (English & Spanish)
Parenting in the Early Years (PITEY) is offered in both English and Spanish is an 9-week parenting program for parents and caregivers of children birth to six years. The PITEY program is part of Program Without Walls (PWW), and is one of a range of programs offered that are linguistically and culturally modified to meet the diverse needs of families. PWW’s goal is to strengthen families and enhance the development and well-being of children living in difficult situations. The long-term goal of PITEY is to promote healthy child development. A children’s group runs in conjunction with the parenting program and provide a wide range of skill building activities for the children attending the program. The program is offered in partnership with The Macaulay Centres for Children. .
Awareness and communications initiatives for Parenting in the Early Years are partially funded through proceeds earned through Yorktown’s memberships with Dolphin Gaming and the Ontario Charitable Gaming Association.
