KFT (Keeping Families Together) and CARE (Children at Risk of Entering Care)

KFT and CARE are partnerships with local child welfare agencies to provide rapid, in-home treatment to families where there is risk of an apprehension or placement breakdown. The therapists aim to enhance stability by building on skills the family already has, and connecting community or extended family supports to caregivers and children or youth.

While the staff person works in partnership with a child welfare protection worker, service in completely voluntary and therapists will collaborate with clients on the type of service and information flow to child protection.
