On June 17, 2021, our very own David O’Brien joined a panel of experts on CBC Radio with Rita Celli for a discussion on what Canada is doing about engaging with people on the pathway toward violent extremism.

David did a fabulous job of demystifying both the work and the issues!

We want to thank and congratulate, David and the entire team for the tremendous work you’ve done! The reach out to Yorktown to participate on the panel was a direct result of the tremendous skill and evidenced success of the program team and strategic collaborations with staff from other Yorktown teams and community partners.

Our primary goal as an organization, in every aspect of the work we do, including the show today, is to increase points of access and foster connections. With that said, yesterday afternoon, someone reached out as a direct result of the show. Lets not forget the tragic recent events in London that spurred interest on the part of CBC to air this segment today. Every point of connection counts.
