COVID-19 Updates

Our top priority is to ensure the health and well-being of our community. As such, Yorktown Family Services is offering all  programs through virtual services.  We are closely monitoring the situation as it evolves and will continue to update our community.

Holiday Closure

Yorktown Family Services will be closed for the holidays as of
Thursday, Dec 23rd, 2021 at 5pm

Rapid Access Counselling and other programs and services will be on break during this time.

We will re-open for normal business hours as of Tuesday, Jan 4, 2022

During the COVID-19 outbreak counselling  will be offered by scheduled PHONE and Webinar sessions.

If you need any type of special support to participate or to have access to our materials, please contact Human Resources at ext. 222. Support persons to someone are most welcome. Also, should you require services in a language other than English, Yorktown offers telephone interpretation for telephone counselling services.

In-person Counselling is currently on hold due to pandemic-related health restrictions.

Please note that while we continue to provide Rapid Virtual Services, Yorktown Family Services is currently experiencing staffing shortages. As a result, wait times may be longer than expected and closures may occur over the next 4-6 weeks. We regret the inconvenience to our clients and service partners. Updates will be provided as they occur.

Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the demand for mental health services has increased dramatically. Yorktown Family Services is experiencing a wait-list of up to six months for ongoing Family Therapy.
